BVG ticket machines
You can buy your tickets for a trip with the BVG quickly and easily at our approximately 700 ticket machines, which can be found at underground stations and selected street locations. Pay cash, with your Girocard or credit card – contactless, if you wish. You can also find the opening hours of our sales outlets and fare information at our ticket machines.
There’s even more ...
At our ticket machines, you can also buy tickets for a range of attractions and sights in Berlin, as well as for selected trade shows and major events. Go to “Tourism/Event” to see what’s on offer.
Buying tickets on trams or buses?
You can buy some single tickets and 24-hour tickets from bus drivers (contactless payment with Girocard, debit card, credit card, or the BVG prepaid card only) and at ticket machines on trams. These tickets are pre-validated and must be used for immediate travel. Please note that ticket machines on trams only accept coins.
Don’t forget to validate your ticket
The ticket tells you whether you need to validate it. Validation machines can be found on trams, on buses, and at stations. Validate your ticket shortly before you start your journey. Once stamped, it’s valid and you can get going.
