What variants of the WelcomeCard are available?
- The Berlin WelcomeCard is the classic ticket. The validity period can be freely selected and ranges from 48 hours to six days. It can be purchased for the Berlin AB or Berlin ABC fare zones. The regular discounts and offers apply.
- The Berlin WelcomeCard Museum Island is valid for 72 hours after validation. It can be purchased for the Berlin AB or Berlin ABC fare zones. In addition to the regular discounts and offers, there is free admission once a day to the museums on Museum Island (excluding special exhibitions) during the period of validity.
- The Berlin WelcomeCard all inclusive is an extension of the Berlin WelcomeCard and the "all-round carefree ticket". It can be purchased for different validity periods between 48 hours and six days and is always valid for the Berlin ABC fare zone. In addition to the regular offers, this variant gives you free admission to over 30 partners.
How does the Berlin WelcomeCard work?
The Berlin WelcomeCard consists of the ticket for public transportation and the CityGuide. Upon presentation of the ticket and the CityGuide to the discount partners, the respective offers and discounts can be claimed.
What discounts are available?
The Biosphäre Potsdam, the Gay Museum, the JUMP House or the Alte Nationalgalerie – with over 200 discount partners, there is something for everyone.
Do I need a ticket for the AB or ABC fare zone?
The Berlin A fare zone includes the city center, where the main train station, the Brandenburg Gate and other sights are located. Fare zone Berlin B extends outside the S-Bahn ring to the city limits. The surrounding area of Berlin, the city of Potsdam and BER Airport fall under fare zone Berlin C.

Where can I buy the WelcomeCard?
The WelcomeCard 48h is not only available via our Ticket-App and Fahrinfo-App, but also via the following:
- at berlin-welcomecard.de/en
- at Berlin Tourist Info centers
- at numerous hotels and retailers in Berlin
- at the sales outlets and ticket machines of Berlin's public transportation companies (S-Bahn Berlin GmbH and BVG). You can obtain the corresponding guide by showing your ticket at Berlin Tourist Info centers and at BVG and S-Bahn sales outlets.

WelcomeCard vs. CityTour Card

The WelcomeCard is valid for either the Berlin AB or Berlin ABC fare zones and can be purchased for different lengths of time.
With the WelcomeCard, you benefit from over 200 discount partners and discounts of between 25 % and 50 %. The ticket comes with a printed CityGuide with recommendations and tours as well as a map of the city and public transport network. The WelcomeCard Museum Island gives you free admission to the respective museums and the WelcomeCard all inclusive is an all-round carefree package. -
The CityTour Card is valid for either the Berlin AB or Berlin ABC fare zones and can be purchased for different lengths of time.
The CityTour Card gives you up to 40 % discount at around 30 partners. In addition to the classics such as the TV Tower, it also includes more unusual offers such as the Disgusting Food Museum or Poetry Slam. You receive a folding map with your ticket. Overall, the CityTour Card is slightly cheaper than the WelcomeCard.
Depending on what exactly you are planning and which sights or cultural institutions you would like to visit, you can decide in advance which ticket is more worthwhile for you.
