Mobility training
We can help you ride buses and trains – even if you have limited vision or mobility.
Do you require a wheelchair, walker, or similar aid and want to improve your safety on public transportation? Are you visually impaired or have other sensory impairments and don't know how to find your way around buses and trains? Our mobility training courses give you the opportunity to practice various procedures and learn about our vehicles – all at your own pace. This ensures that you will be able to use our buses and trains without any uncertainties in the future, and that you will always reach your destination safely.
Who are the mobility trainings suitable for?
- Children and teenagers
- Adults and senior citizens
- Wheelchair users and their companions
- Users of walkers or other walking aids
- Blind or visually impaired individuals and their companions
- People who would like to learn more about the topic
What do you get to learn and practice?
- The BVG services for disabled passengers.
- How to behave at stops and stations
- Getting on and off public transportation with a wheelchair or walker
- Securing yourself during the journey
In addition, blind passengers can explore our vehicles at their own convenience and familiarize themselves with their surroundings.
On site, our representatives for seniors and passengers with disabilities are available to answer any questions you may have. You can also exchange information with other participants and receive valuable tips. The BVG Muva lift substitute will also be presented during the training sessions. Contact persons are available on site. The training takes approximately 90 min and is free of charge.
